COURSE DESCRIPTION

This dynamic course of instruction has been designed to provide trainees with initial instuction in close quarters battle and to instruct students in the individual, team and platoon level tactics, techniques and procedures and methodologies used by elite special operations units.

Training will include lectures and education on the application of dynamic CQB, safety policies, the priority of threat sequence, strongwall tactics, points of penetration, corner and center fed rooms, areas of responsibility and the employment of cross pan techniques. Room combat lessons and exercises are designed to improve individual skills and include door procedures, entry procedures, downed shooter procedures movement procedures and communication as two and four man elements. During this instruction, students will be trained in our proprietary Primary 10 CQB Room Combat Barricade Scenarios that form the fundamental framework of room combat tactics.

Training will continue with team based tactics that have been developed to ehnace and refine Individual, Team, and Platoon Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs). Lessons will include hallway movement procedures that will allow assault teams to move tactically and securely along coridors, clearing Ls, Ts & 4-way procedures and clearing stairwells and last room procedures. During this block of instruction trainees will be introduced to interior stack, hold and flow directions, restrictions and control measures that establish team and platoon level SOP/s during clearance.

Students will learn how to secure the stronghold during post assault procedures, establish and maintain marshalling areas, conduct hostage and suspect handling procedures, marking procedures, evacuation procedures and sending in the count.

During the final day of training, students will receive detailed lessons on team level emergency action and deliberate action assault planning, preparation and execution. Students will participate in force on force, reality based training evolutions using role players and non-lethal training ammunition that have been developed to evaluate the tactics and assess student performance.
